What is Higher Prakriti- the higher self is Higher Prakriti- i.e the complete surrender to god.
Prema ji mentioned on her understanding on the verse 1 and emphasis of words used
mayyāsakta-manāḥ pārtha yogaṁ yuñjan mad-āśhrayaḥ.
Aim should be towards god realization and the goal, work both should be also towards God
realization.
Verse 2:- jñānaṁ te ’haṁ sa-vijñānam
From the knowledge i.e Jnanam we move towards the Vijnanam.
Have our knowledge and our goal both should be all about experience. That is what Krishna says
he is going to teach.
We continued to go over the verses 4,5,6 :- which are borrowed from Chapter 2 and repeated
again.
What are Para And Apara Prakriti?
ParaPrakriti is nothing but the Purusha i.e the Brahman. It has no certain attributes.
Apara Prakriti is Maya. This has attributes and has been divided into 5 subtle elements ( fire, water,
air, space, wind) PLUS the mind, intellect and ego are what exists around the aparaprakriti.
Please note: These are not the elements that we se around us - they are the subtle form of the elements.
This Paraprakriti is that one which helps us to see the apara prakriti.
i.e due to Brahman we are able to feel the senses around us.
The reason for the creation, existence and destruction is because of these two Prakritis.
ParaPrakriti is indestructible, indivisible and has no attributes and is referred to as Satya the
only Truth.
AparaPrakriti can be divisible and is finite, refrained to space and also has attributes, this is
often refered to as Mithya or Asathya, This itself is not perishable but takes form.
Like Clay Pot, Clay exists in the clay pot as clay and also independent as Clay itself.
Eshwara is complete by himself which is made of Paraprakriti and Aparaprakriti ie.
(1+1).
2nd stage of creation is 1+8 ie paraprakriti+ aparaprakriti.
This further goes into many creations ie 1+ many.
We need two things for any creation Purusha and Prakriti.
We watched Gurudev’s videos verses 1-6.
What is listening – hearing with total involvement is called listening that is what Krishna says as
Shrunoti- listening.
Verse 3:- discourse from gurudev’s video.
Rock-man,Tree-man,Animal-man of all the men and people, only Satwick people are the only one
who maybe fit to go to the next stage of evolution. Maybe 1 person might try to put the effort to
the get to do the change. These are the persons who are striving for the significant changes to
come to know of the Brahman.
Verse 4:- Body is always inert and it is the nature of the matter. Krishna for the benefit of the
Arjuna is starting to analyze.
5 elements are used to make any being or anything around us. These are fundamental elements
when we die all these go back to its true nature.
Verse 5:- 8 lower natures is also my(Krishna’s) nature and then there is a higher nature which is
the whole reason of life is also me(Krishna).
We concluded with our closing prayers.
