One of the participants shared her interesting finding with us. When in April 7 th class what happens when the subtle body leaves the body was discussed, she put this information in co-pilot which gave the answer from 18 th Verse of Bhagavad gita .
We continued watching Gurudev’s videos 189- Verse 5- The Cumulative Effect.
If one says they will live as they like and in the end will think of God since that is what Bhagwan
mentioned – who ever thinks of me and that too in the last minute of the time the soul leaves the body

reaches me and me alone.
This is something like we think we have lot of money in bank and when we realize it is nothing there as
we withdrew everything already and the balance is Nil. This was beautifully explained by Gurudev.
The last thought is nothing but the cumulative effect of that what we have done in the entire life.

In the seed of mediation and gone beyond the time – leaving the BMI and experiencing the glory there is
death of mind and the death of the Ego then we awake to the new awakening of the new dimensions.

Verse 6-
yaṃ yaṃ vāpi smaranbhāvaṃ tyajatyantē kalēvaram ।

How can one get to think of Bhagwan in the last moment – it can happen only when we constantly
remember him. If we think of Money or wealth all our life how can our thought get turned to Bhagwan.
Hence it is required to constantly think of Bhagwan so that we can get his name alone in the end.
Remembering Bhagwan does not mean we shout and yell Oh Rama and disturb everyone. This is not
what helps us.
This reminded one of us of an incident where an elderly man who was chanting Bhagawan’s name loudly
amidst of when everyone was chatting.

This explanation is again beautifully by our Gurudev.
Moksha is now and is hence no other way. Practice to have a resultant desire to think of the lord is
nothing but having a higher focus.

We always think we can multi task- we can only switch between multiple tasks quickly.
We looked at the subjective Analysis
1) Bhakti Yoga- Here means to think of the lord constantly.- Convert the actions into Surrendering
to the Bhagwan. The work must be a kind of Seva to Bhagwan.
2) Saguna Vs Nirguna upasana.
3) Krishna- how to think of him always and how can this be achieved.
4) This Chapter talks about the karma or sequential or time based mukti not Sadhya.

One of us mentioned about a video lecture which went viral from Carnegie Melon as Last lecture –
which was given by a Cancer patient which was profound.

5) What governs the thoughts
6) Only one active thought is possible at any point of the time.
7) Corollary- Change our Vasanas.
How can we exhaust our Vasanas- doing Karma yoga and also Substitute and Sublimate.
Watch your Vasanas they govern your thoughts.
Watch your thoughts they become your words.
Watch your words they become your actions.
Watch your actions they become your habits.
Watch your habits they become your character.
Watch your character they become your destiny.
Positive Balance Vs Negative Balance.

Positive Balance Vs Negative Balance.
One of us told us a story of Sage Narada.
Sage narada goes to lord Narayana and asks who the greatest devotee is. Sage Narada thinks
lord will tell that Narada was greatest as he always chants his name. But instead Lord says that
humble farmer was greatest and on hearing this Narada questions the lord that this farmer
hardly thinks of Lord. Then Lord gives him a task to take a pot full of water on his head and go
around without spilling one drop. Narada completes this task and comes back and tell he
accomplished and will Lord now agree that he was greatest devotee.
Then Lord asks while walking how many times you thought of me.
Narada feels ashamed as he was only thinking of not spilling the water and didn’t think of Lord.
Then Lord tells him that the farmer though he is busy in his worldly duties thinks of him whole
heatedly whenever he could.
Narada’s pride is knocked out with this incident.

When we take an example of Salesman- he/she convinces the persons just to sells his products
and in doing this he may change into a person who he might not be in reality or lose his original
self. The real feelings might be suppressed and they get triggered when the veil gets dropped.
Try not be the fake person and always try radiating the positivity.
Do not suppress your true self and be nice and good and also do not be afraid of the death
which is the real truth.
Arjuna is the best prototype of us. Arjuna gets worried when Bheeshma picks up the Narayana
Astram in the war after listening to the entire Bhagavad Gita. Then Krishna re-assures to him to
fight and not to worry.
